If you travel to northen Wisconsin you may see a Gentleman's Club named Northern Exposure. Cute name, much more clever than the "El Dorado's", which I always think is a Mexican Restaraunt, yet is actually an adult store. Why do they call them a gentleman's club anyway, do only men in suits go there? Anyway, on the parking lot you will find:
That's right, the World's Largest Badger and Squirrel! Funny I thought I there would be a beaver there but anyway, we were brave enough to go behind the fence (for Joy, as I know she loves huge things).
I don't want to meet those claws in a dark alley. Yes, we still have snow, I am beginning to think the ground will forever be white, but I think that I think that every year. Maybe I think too much, you think?
I guess the log the squirrel is on isn't the biggest? So where is the biggest log? Anyone? Bueller?
You crack me up! I haven't the faintest idea where the biggest log
is...but I still love your pics!!
well, I guess most "gentlemen" who frequent this place don't think it's
about the size of their log that matter!
"Gentlemen's club" -- the ultimate misnomer.
I'm not even sure what to say about the badger, the squirrel, the log...and
whatever they all have to do with a "gentleman's club"...uh...yep, no idea
what to say.
How neat is that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I too would have thought a beaver more appropriate...so why the scary
badger and cutsey squirrel?
Great post. I've noticed when we visit N.E. Wisconsin, a lot of bars and
Gentleman's Clubs. Many more per capita than here in So. Cal. I can never
figure it out. Maybe, it's the cold and snow. I have no idea.
I love your captures.
I love all the unique things you find to photograph, Lisa. Who knew
Wisconsin could provide so much fodder!
That's one big @$$ badger!
Gentleman's club - my foot. It seems to me that those clubs are rather
squirrely. I would badger my husband senseless if he started frequenting
them.
This entry just cracked me up! WTF? I just don't get it, LOL! Love the
tripod bags in the previous entry too, what a cool idea! Just catcing up
here, I'm officially on spring break now, I'll be around to bother you lots
over this next week. Still crunching?
I'm glad to see the use of "gentlemen's club" in reference to this sort of
place bothers others as well. I guess they are not using the definition I
think of most often when I hear the word, "a civilized, educated,
sensitive, or well-mannered man: He behaved like a true gentleman."
that is an a rather large squrrel. our's are much smaller in cali. (*wink
wink*)
Wow! That's the biggest log I've ever seen! ;)
Squirrels and nuts. thats an easy one.
Badgers belong to the same families as weasels. I see the connection.
That are funny pictures,Lisa!Really good!
Great photos of big furry animals. I will have to bring up Joy's
propensity to large things at our next bloggers breakfast. I have no idea
where the largest log is, but I have seen the biggest kielbasa; lucky it
isn't in that backyard too.
So do they have the world's biggest adult toys in that Gentlmen's Club? LOL
I agree that a Beaver would have been better advertising than a badger LOL
Why yes, yes I do like huge things LOL This is so funny. I would have
thought a different rodent for sure but who knows what men are thinking
when it comes to those kind of things. Probably meant to put a beaver up
there but in their horniness ordered the wrong creature by mistake. If it
was a women we would have insisted the rodent be changed and the right one
put up, but the men probably said "Meh. Good enough." Or who knows, maybe
it's a secret weird club thing. I stopped trying to figure out men long
ago.
I have pictures of these from when my kids were little, we were on our way
home from a stay up by Minocqua and stopped because the kids were
fascinated by these giant crazy critters.
I have you in my reader now :) I love meeting fellow WI bloggers also.
Badgers? We don't need no stinkin' badgers! Giant squirrels on the other
hand...
The Badger and Squirrel preceeded the gentleman’s club (Though I think the
name is an oxymoron, as there are no gentleman’s in those clubs) can’t
recall what it was before it was Northern Exposure.
Wisconsin is the main producer of these large animals. Wish I could
remember the manufacturer
