A few days ago I introduced you to Reese and. . .
. . .Kiwi. They are the newest additions to the mouse house. They also were more interested in trying to find a way out than getting their photos taken.
And it was long about here that I got a little nervous. Back story - Haden removed the mice from their container for me and stayed to mouse wrangle them while I shot. But, at this particular moment he was wrangling the miniature Doberman aka Reese when Kiwi decided to try to get down on the outside of the light box.
I tried to touch her, I really did. She held on to my finger and I screamed and shook and she jumped to the floor and ran under the dresser. Luckily, the bedroom door was already shut to keep Brodi away but I worried about a Kiwi lost in the house so I went to guard the door while Haden tried to get Kiwi from under the dresser. He was readjusting while I’m asking where Reese was and suddenly Kiwi popped around the dresser coming straight at me. I screamed and he scampered away.
A few seconds later, Haden said, “Cover your mouth so you don’t scream, she’s coming your way.” You will be very proud to know that I did cover my mouth and I even blocked her with my clothed arm until he could come and grab her. Then I took a nice hot shower. The things I do for you guys.
Ewww, I think they are very cute as long as they stay in their own little
mouse house! Lovely pictures again Lisa!
These little guys are so cute. Oh go ahead and touch one! Fun pictures.
***singing***
"I don't like spiders and snakes...but those meeses are kinda cute..."
LOL!!! I love the one where it's hanging on the "wall"...
those are too cute! of course I say that as I view them on a screen, not in
a room with them running around making me scream! LOL!! those reallly are
great shots!
WOW! I can't get over how amazing your photos are! You are one talented
lady ;) I have to admit, I'm a bit squeamish when it comes to mice...but
Reese and Kiwi are adorable!!!
OMG!! How precious! I love little mice - they are SO CUTE! I hated it in
our old house when hubby used to catch them and then...well...fling them
into the neighbor's yard. But yeah, I would scream, too.
LOL - too funny! They're so cute that I really do appreciate what you went
through just to bring us these photos. Your mice photos always make me
think of the little pet albino mouse my Sister and I had as a kid.
Love this post. When our kids were young, many eons ago, we had lots of
pets, including Sqeaky and Patches. They were pocket mice and had a life
expectancy of 6 months. Well, they live about 3 years. Yes, I handled
them, they were very nice. I was very upset when they had to be put down.
Oh dear!
You are very brave - I loved that you screamed each time! I know they can't
hurt us...but still they are kind of icky in an icky sort of way...
You have made them look very cute in these photos but they would not be top
of my wish list. My daughter has been looking after a rat for a week and
I'm rather glad it wasn't there while I was visiting!
I feel much better now. I thought I was the only wimp left in the world
who was not fond of playing with the meeces!
How very brave of you, and I appreciate it. They are very adorable
critters. I am not sure if I would want one climbing up my sleeve though.
Our girls have been asking for tiny critters and I said no rodents smaller
than the bunnies. So, we have had reptiles. Hmm...not sure if that is
better.
Awww, how cute! I love the coloring on them. When you said she held on to
your finger, do you mean she bit, or did she just grab your finger?
That are so cute pictures of your mouse! Your pictures have always so
fantastic quality!
I wish you " Happy Easter" !
AWWW, but they're so cute! ;-)
You don't like the mices? I think they're cute. I had a pet mouse once.
Named Jerry, of course.
isn't it funny how we can scream at such a cute little creature!
happy easter!
Ok now I want to hear Kiwi's side of the story because I bet she's got a
tale to tell about the daring escape and some lady screaming at her! Poor
little thing LOL
OMG Lisa...I am laughing!!! I can just "see" this whole thing taking
place!!! LOL But, I would have been standing BEHIND you screaming too!!
And, by the way, I think you must have mentioned the Egg Hunt to me....I'm
not psychic...that I know of anyway!
ha ha ha ha ha ha. Why do we scream? I do the same thing. I remember my
mom jumping up on the toilet seat when one ran across the bathroom floor.
We were all happy that the seat was down when she did that.
ps. a few years ago we had some mice get in to our house -- and a friend
was sitting barefoot at my computer and it bit her toe. I didn't even know
they would do that.
