Let's go to the beach

I honestly love snow.  But it's about this time of year that I start itching for greener surroundings.  We have several inches of smashed snow (=ice) on our driveway and a couple of feet of snow in the yard.  The doggie yard has paths shoveled for them to walk and along the fence or they would be able walk right over the fence.  I'm kinda tired of the cold.  The sun teases us during the day and its rays bring warmth while the air chills the bones.

The few warm days we have had, warm being about 35, have succeeded in reminding me of why I hate spring.  Sure spring brings warmer days but it also means puddles everywhere and ground so sopping wet that you sink to your knees.  And it lasts forever!  I wonder if we can skip spring and go straight to summer?

I love spring but I would not mind going straight to summer either! We do not have the amount of snow, nor the puddles over here though!

It often feels as if we do skip spring. Be careful what you wish for and remember how it can go from 45 to 85 in the blink of an eye.

I love spring! I love puddles and mud! It's so much fun. I love watching the snow melt and seeing what treasures are revealed underneath. Sure, most of it is just garbage, but it's still so much fun.

We're in a drought here, so f you could please send all your puddles thisaway. That way I can start taking longer showers & wash my car. :) Thanks! Is that star a soap or a piece of glass? Very beautiful picture as always.

Here, many of our summer days are way over 100 degrees, so I enjoy the "transitions", spring and fall. Summer isn't horrible, and we can always escape to San Diego or Long Beach.

Move to New England, we don't get much of spring around here. About a day or two of teasers, sprinkled with "late" snow storms in April, a full month of rainy downpours in May, and then it's full on Summer (for about a week before it's over). Okay, I may have exagerated that last bit. ;-)

We still have a few more months of winter to look forward to. That's hard to believe isn't it? When I first moved here I was amazed how long winter actually is...now - well - sigh....

Yuck! I can imagine what a mess all that melting snow is. Though it would be nice once in a while, I'm glad we don't get snow here.

It was funny thinking of the snow so high that the dogs could walk over the fence - that is a lot of snow!! Yes - Let's go to the beach!!

Thanks so much Lisa Marie, for stopping by - nice to see you. And, thanks for coming by and thanks for your prayers for our sweet baby. Take care and I'll see you soon. Kellan

It snowed again here over night, so skipping right to summer sounds like a GREAT idea to me. :-)

It was pretty slushy every where around here today. The nice thing about spring is the smell.

Mud, mud, and more mud. I rhink the dogs have a contest to see who can pack the most mud in their paws.

I lived in Wisconsin for 2 1/2 years and that was enough for me! Love the summer, hate the winter! I moved down to Alabama and now the opposite is true!! Gotta run and turn the air conditioning on now....just kidding!!
