The thing about headaches is that often I can get rid of one by taking a nice hot bath, laying in the tub with my head down in the hot water for a while. Maybe it's the steam that helps because I can usually get rid of one by turning on the humidifier for a while. You see the air is so dry up here, or maybe it's that my brain is just still more accustomed to the humidity in Missouri, whatever, I get headaches in the winter and sometimes it progresses to sinus infections and ear infections, well you get the drift.
I cleaned the humidifier, it had all those hard flakes/water thingies in it and I thought it needed cleaning. Ha! Double ha! Now no nice warm steamy air comes out. I'm wondering if my headache will go away if I get a new one but the thing is that we have to be in motels for the next few days (cuz of Dennis' work) so we won't really now for awhile.
In the mean time, my brain does not want to think or mess with photos or anything. It justs wants to feel normal. Yeah, like it even knows what normal is. And since I don't feel like sitting for hours in front of the computer staring at photos I thought I would share some deep dark, or not so dark, thoughts with you. But. . . yeah, the headache buries all thoughts.
I did stumble on something though that takes no thought on my part. Yay! A little while back I noticed something about a few of Tristan's photos that I thought was kinda cool. It's true of all of the ones I shot that day but I'm only going to show you one.
I was babysitting him for a little bit the day before my biopsies, he was 5 months old. . . I kept thinking his eyes looked a little funky in the photos. So I looked closer. . .

That's me in there! There are trees on the edges, the blue sky and me in the middle! When I pointed it out to hubby, he said it looks like it was photoshopped but, it's a happy accident!
This photo was taken with the Sony DSC-H5, before I got my digitalSLR.
Now THAT is super cool...VERY happy accident!!
Wow! Thats really cool!
very cute baby...his eyes so bright...so true...:)
What a wonderful shot and happy accident! And how observant you were to
notice that!
If you're ever in Northern Lower Michigan, you have to come take pix of my
son!!! You have the best pix of Tristan. :) (Don't worry. You can set foot
into Northern Lower Michigan. I promise I won't actually hunt you down and
make you take photos of Seth. My therapist says that wouldn't be healthy.)
That is the neatest pic I've seen in a long time!! What a treasure that is
- you should sell it!
Awww :(
I feel your pain with the headaches :(
Hope you feel better soon!
Wow, that is REALLY cool. Hope you feel better soon!!!
LOVE it! Isn't that amazing? Love the picture of him munching on his
piggies.
Very cool pic. Hope your headache leaves soon. I agree on the dry air
doing it, I get more headaches in winter then any other time.
That is very neat looking! Especially because you are silouhetted just
perfectly.
That picture is incredible! I'm going to try and see if I can do that with
one of my kids. The only time I've ever showed up like that was a
reflection in a pair of sunglasses and I looked like I was 3 feet tall and
8 feet wide LOL Good luck with your headache. Have you tried caffeine?
That helps me sometimes. Feel better soon!
Talk about serendipity! I sure hope your headache gets better - that is
just so miserable. I am a firm believer in the hot tea, hot bath method.
I hope it works for you.
What a cool photo!
serendipity ! happy accident.
Great shot, and the title says it all. I had non-typical migraine
headaches for years. They didn't fit the norm and drs. wouldn't treat
them. I finally got some help, and instead of daily, or constant headaches
(migraines), I'm down to 3-4 a month. Not bad. Since I had them so
freqently it was hard to find the triggers. Changes in barometric pressure
are one of my big triggers, in other words, when the weather changes. So
watch that, incase that's one of your triggers.
How'd you get that baby to hold still to take a close up? Did you drug him?
Wow, that is a very neat picture. And he's a cutie!!! I hope your
headache goes away, I've never heard that about moisture - I know caffien
can sometimes dull the pain though.
You should be so happy with that shot, Granny. It's wondeful. And, your
post title is melt my heart perfect.
That is SO cool!
I would never have believed that you could capture this on camera!
:-)
I LOVE that...it's like you are a special part of him...
that is incredible...it is almost a spiritual thing....
Those eyes are amazing! I can't believe you captured that (: He loves you.
Oh Lisa, he is beyond adorable! I love that I can actually see you taking
the shot as a reflection in his eyes in that last shot. BEAUTIFUL!
That is so cool. And he looks like he's still got that new baby smell.
That is a really cool thing. It is even better since it is a fluke.
Oh, wow, Lisa! That is too cool! Have you tried to see if you could get it
to happen again? That's just really weird, but super cool...
Great picture, Lisa, as always, you are the center of his universe, that's
clear!
I love the rest of your new entries too, the hot balloon pictures
and the funny post about the shower! But those chainsaw totems really
intrigue me! What are they, and where are they, and why?
Jessica - You crack me up!! I would love to takes photos of Seth. I made
it to the UP last summer, maybe I'll make it your way this summer. :)
I have been reading just being quiet...I saw this over on his blog and it
was my favorite one of the bunch. Babies chewing on their own piggies is my
favorite sight!! The close up of his eyes...TOO freakin' cool!!!
Very awesome!
