So the clothes that I don’t feel ready to part with belong to my grandson and he has long outgrown them. His mom has given me bags and bags of clothes to put on eBay, have a rummage sale or something with, but I’m having a hard time parting with all of them. She doesn’t want the new baby (due Dec 24th) to wear the same things since we take so many photos of Tristan. She’s afraid the baby, when he/she got older, would feel bad if they both had the same clothes in photos. Who knows, maybe I’ll pull my favorite outfits out to just let the baby wear on days I don’t take photos. Shhh, don’t tell him/her.
Tristan’s 5 weeks old here. This is one of the first outfits we found for our first grandchild before he was even born. It’s a sweet little corduroy jumper with a little mouse on the front and little mouse lining, so soft. And when we found that bright striped shirt we thought it was a perfect set. We did a lot of shopping for him in outlet malls but I think we probably spent the most on this outfit as we bought it at a very nice kids’ store in the Mall of America.
And who wouldn’t love the little ducky sleeper?
This little blanket sleeper was so soft it felt like he was snuggled in a cloud.
He’s not even a month old here. And I love the hat, it sits in his toy drawer and I can’t wait to another baby around to stick it on. The outfit he’s wearing is a fleece two-piece, the pants were striped with feet in them. The hippo’s mouth opens and we bought a bright orange one with some other animal on it too.
This one, although you can’t see it in the photo, has a moose on it and is soft fleece.
I have to say that I’m so happy that Chris keeps the current host of Fun Monday on her sidebar. I can’t tell you how many times I have had to peek over there to keep myself on track. And I almost forgot, Robin composed a list of all the topics we've covered so we can refer to it when we're hosting and the history of Fun Mondays for anyone interested in joining in. Thanx Chris & Robin!
Even though I didn't participate this week, my favorite baby clothes from
all 3 of my boys I am holding on to. I do not know why I am because I HAVE
to have Granddaughters since I didn't get a single Daughter!
Ditto everything Kaytabug said!
That hat, OMG. Such a cheesehead look. I love it.
I certainly love the little ducky sleeper. The picture with the hat and
hippo are just precious. Our family must like hand-me-downs. Although each
baby has new clothes, our babies end up wearing clothes from grandparents,
cousins, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles...
What wonderful pictures! The ducky pjs are so cute... I used to have a
favorite sleeper - with feet included. Even though I can't remember being
able to think at that age I remember I loved wearing it. I don't think I'd
have cared if it had been a left-over.
LOVE....love the hippo outfit and that hat! Too darned precious.
Nice ducky outfit. Ducks are a wonderful constant with baby clothes.
Oh my gosh, the hat with the hippo outfit is tooooo cute. And with prices
the way they are now days, I can't imagine NOT sharing clothes among
siblings. At least until they are old enough to know better!
You could sell those easy -- you have the perfect model.
Tristian is way too cute and the photos show just how much he has grown and
changed over the year and half. precious boy!
I can't imagine not using hand-me-downs. That is just the nature of
siblings, cousins, and friends.
Ahhh those are so gorgeous. When I had Miss M I bought a few new things
for her, but it was also kind of lovely to see her in some of Miss E's old
stuff. It brought back wonderful memories and helped Miss E feel more
connected to her. :D
Love them all. And that ducky sleeper was cute but I was drawn to what was
on his feet!!!!
It amazes me how fast children grow. Those are some cute photos. Having 3
girls, Katelyn is now wearing some of Marissa's clothes when Marissa went
to K. I only kept the clothes that seemed to last, through the test of
time. Just about 5 or 6 outfits, that will probably survive for Lindsay.
The girls actually get a kick out of looking at the photos of Marissa
wearing the same outfits.
I think Tristan is a living doll!
I love those baby clothes, I can't bring myself to eBay mine either.
Lisa,
These outfits are wonderful. They remind me of some of what my daughter
wore! Of course, your model makes the outfits!
OH, I so want a pair of those ducky p.j.'s
What a cutie you have. Love all the outfits...
I only have a couple of things from when ZBoy was a baby... Mostly he
drooled and stained things to the point where I had to actually toss them
because no amount of washing would clean the stuff anymore. Sigh. Too
bad, because he had a few things that I totally loved.
Tristan is so cute, I had a hard time parting with my baby girl clothes
until I put them in a consignment sale, now i am getting ready to sell more
You’re like my sister and best friend who have NO PROBLEM getting rid of
clothes (or anything else for that matter). These photos are precious … and
the outfits sooooo cute! Thanks for sharing. I’m glad to know Chris keeps
the current host of Fun Monday in her sidebar because I often don’t know
until I visit someone and see their Fun Monday post … then I’m scrambling
to get something created and published.
Hugs and blessings,
OH! I love the Blue Hippo! He's my favorite! SOOO CCCUUUTTTEEE!!!!!
I love that we got bonus baby pictures!!!
Those little clothes are SOOOOOO cute!!! As is the grandson!!! Pictures
are so great....to go back and remember all those times. I actually ran
across some old pics tonight of my first husband and I on our
honeymoon.....talk about memories...but I will give them to my daughter.
I can see why you like keeping the muka-luk hat out--so very cute. This
model is a darling--so happy and curious looking. Maybe you'll get the
same qualities with the next one, only a girl so you can go wild with
little girl cuteness.
