Can you read the signs (fun monday)

posted Monday, 18 February 2008

funmonday

Sayre has made her request:

Every day as I go to work, I see things around me that make me laugh. Usually these are in the forms of signs. So take your camera with you as you go about your business and take a picture of the things that make you laugh along the way (but it doesn't necessarily HAVE to be a sign).

And if the weather would have cooperated with me I could have shown you a few new things. But we spent most of the week out of town and the weekend snowed in so, you get some photos from a while back.

No digging allowed

Maybe I’m a little warped.

Who's on the leash?

And the master is?

Where does the rest of my body go?

Where does the rest of me go?

Signs

Frozen Lake Winnebago.

1/2 or 7/8 or 13/16 smiles to nowhere

Have you seen fractional streets anywhere else?

Illiterate?

Still cracks me up after all this time.

Something tells me you're not going to be the only one who has a collection of funny signs--they just tickle our funny bones because they're usually so earnest.

I enjoy and photograph signs too. Your signs are great, they made me smile and think of about a possible future posting on my site. Thanks for the idea.

Also, thanks for popping in and "waving".

That's a fantastic collection! Is the illiterate sign in the same town as the higher math (i.e. fractional streets) sign?

Great collection of funny signs:o) I can't believe there is a place that has fractional streets. It has to be a nightmare giving directions and trying to read signs there.

I like the No Digging one too! LOL!

Those are hilarious! One I WANTED to take a picture of was a funeral home in my parents' little town. I would always see their sign with a little one underneath that read "BIG SALE TODAY!" Always cracked me up. Unfortunately, their ploy didn't work - the funeral home itself is for sale now...

LOVED, LOVED, LOVED your signs!!!

That fractional road sign has got to be the funniest. I remember seeing a road sign in the Upper Peninsula saying, "Caution Primitive Road Ahead". The pavement was turning into a dirt road.

We have fractional streets here! Not carried out to the decimal though! Those signs are funny, I guess we just have to look at things a different way sometimes!

Great signs! Of course when I was looking for some, I couldn't find any. There is a sign at an old church in Alexandria, VA that says - NO PARKING Violaters will be baptised - but of course I didn't make it up there to take a picture over the weekend. I used to pass it every day when I worked up in that area years ago.

And I have yet to find something funny to take a picture of, but your one, "Head In Parking Only" I see everyday! Maybe I'll have to copy and snap a pic of that too!
